Our Second Meeting

We had our first official Indivisible meeting on March 4th at Blue Star Barns. The enthusiasm was absolutely contagious! Not only did they come back for a second meeting, but they brought even more people with them.

This time, we had such a large turnout that we had to split the crowd between the Women’s Club in downtown Saugatuck and All Saints Church just two blocks up the hill. Add a Zoom meeting to the mix, breakout groups… and it had the potential to be pure chaos. But instead? It was pure energy… organized, powerful, and unstoppable. Big shout out to Jane Dickie and the board for doing a great job with this rapidly growing group and all the people willing to show up and do something!

Participants of the meeting engaged with others in our community they hadn’t met before, brainstorming ways to take action, and diving in headfirst. Everyone is ALL IN! First we get assembled and organized, then we start moving mountains together. I am inspired by the people showing up ready and willing to defend our democracy!

Now, the board is moving forward with planning our next meeting and getting our working groups up and running. Stay tuned for more on that at the next meeting.

Cheers to everyone who showed up! Whether you joined us in person or on Zoom, it was a treat to have you!

Stay connected!
