Douglas Halloween Parade - Be Visible Indivisible!
The Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisible and Holland Zeeland Indivisible groups have been coordinating a FUN and HIGHLY VISIBLE event!
Join us for the 27th Annual Douglas Halloween Parade for Adults. This very fun event pulls around 15-20,000 people to Downtown Douglas for an absolute extravaganza of creativity. We see this as a GREAT opportunity to be seen and heard. Photos and video will be posted to every conceivable social media outlet and go around the world. We’re also hoping to attract some national media attention.
Stand for Democracy
This is a combined presence by Holland Zeeland Indivisible and Stand for Peace Michigan.
Every Saturday in Holland, stand in support of our rights, our democracy, and our community. Bring your signs, your voice, and your family and friends. It's an hour well spent in solidarity!
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Practice for the Douglas Halloween Parade
Join us to coordinate and rehearse our performance for the Douglas Halloween Parade for Adults. Each year the parade draws around 20,000 people to downtown Douglas, Michigan for this extraordinary event. Many photos and videos are shared to social media that go all the way around the world, so let’s give them something to SEE!
The float will have the Statue of Liberty along with other characters in front and protestors will perform a coordinated “walk” down the route. We’re stopping just shy of a dance, but it will be fun!
Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisibles Meeting
The Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisibles group is hosting an event on Christian Nationalism on October 21st, at the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck at 7pm.
Rev. Sarah Terlouw (First Congregational church) , Rev. Dr. Jay Johnson (All Saints Episcopal Church), Rev. Jody Betten (Douglas Congregational, UCC) will be presenting and then participating in an open panel discussion on this topic. Together they will help define what Christian Nationalism is and explore how it threatens American Democracy and the mainline protestant church today.

Bring your large protest signs if you have them. We want to focus on aspirational messaging about the democracy we all want and deserve! Please avoid any negative messaging. Our goal is to reach as many people as we can via social media and ideally mainstream media.

No Kings Protest II
This protest is co-hosted by the Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisibles and the Holland Zeeland Indivisible groups.
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
It will be good to be together on Saturday in Holland, speaking out--peacefully and joyfully--for democracy and the future we want for all of us! A few important notes and reminders:
The rally begins at 1:00 p.m. with special guest speakers at Hope Church, 77 West 11th, across River Avenue and a parking lot, due to the weather forecast and other logistics. After the opening calls to action, we'll march down 10th Street, cross at and with the light, and join the rally in Centennial Park. We're on, rain or shine, so wear your slicker and bring your umbrella and good humor!
National Indivisible encourages people to wear yellow as a sign of unity, and to take a lesson from Portland demonstrators, who’ve used humor (and inflatable frog costumes) to make clear that these are not threatening events.
Please cross at and with lights and respect both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
All No Kings events reflect commitment to nonviolent action. All of us will act lawfully and seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with anyone who disagrees with our values.
You can still RSVP here to help us project numbers.
Looking forward to seeing you and standing together!
Michigan Indivisible Collaborative - Do'ers, Organizers, & Admins
This meeting is for the folks who are behind the scenes doing the planning, organizing, administrative tasks, and ‘stuff’ that has to get done for Indivisible groups in Michigan.
We’re a new working group trying to help each other and leverage what we know to move us all forward faster!
Postcards to Swing States
So far this year, we have distributed and written more than 8,700 postcards to voters in swing states! In addition to get-out-the vote postcards, we are currently sending cards with real news headlines that combat disinformation and help voters see how harmful the Trump agenda is.

This Isn't Just a Climb - It's a Call to Action!
Five of us are climbing Mt. Baldhead to raise money for Saugatuck-Douglas Area Indivisible, because our democracy needs more than hope — it needs action. (This majestic Sand Dune has 303 steps, we will complete 5 rounds each. That would be equivalent to 77 flights of stairs or 1515 steps for each climber.)
Vigil for Democracy
Join us for an evening of reflection, resilience, and community at the Vigil for Democracy. Together, we’ll lift our voices through music, speakers, and poetry as we gather in solidarity during this challenging time. This is a chance to connect, share hope, and stand united for the values of democracy, justice, and freedom. All are welcome—come be part of this powerful moment.
Bring a chair and candle.
If it rains we will move to the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck.
